For A Glimpse of Something Pure
Risograph, 6” x 18”, 2025For A Glimpse of Something Pure is a risograph print disguising itself as a long, narrow weaving turned on its side. Thirteen horizontal stripes of organized colors stretch across the page, reminding me of the storage infographic in my iPhone settings—the one that breaks down space into categories like apps, messages, photos, podcasts, and music. Maybe this print is measuring something, too.
For A Glimpse of Something Pure was created for Queer Impressions: Experimental Approaches to Print, a portfolio exchange organized by Alex Blom and Nicholas Waguespack. The project brought together work from 26 queer artists from across the country and was exhibited at Ohklahomo in Chicago from May 30 to June 27. The full portfolio was also acquired by the Joan Flasch Artists' Book Collection at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
